About Allegory Press
Iām Morgan Wootten, the founder of Allegory Press. After beginning my career in graphic design, I was drawn to the tactile and intentional process of letterpress printing. Our studio specializes in wedding stationery and custom printed pieces that combine traditional methods with modern design. Our goal is to preserve the integrity of the printmaking craft while continuing to explore new ways it can speak to a contemporary audience. We truly appreciate you considering Allegory Press for your stationery and look forward to helping bring your vision to life!
Meet the Press
At Allegory Press, I print on two late 1800s Chandler and Price letterpresses, a machine that requires a lot of patience and attention to detail. I feed each sheet of paper by hand, one at a time, to achieve the perfect impression. Despite the care it demands, I often find it more reliable than my digital printers - clearly, they were doing something right over a century ago! The result is a debossed print with texture and depth that only a historic letterpress can create.
